COACHES
ALL E.Bees coaches are volunteers, usually parents, sometimes older siblings, occasionally players from older E.Bees age groups and sometimes friends of players. All our Coaches deserve your support for reasonable decisions and actions and should be respected for their basketball expertise and dedication.

The club is always looking for coaches. Parents, siblings, grand parents or friends are most welcome to apply for coaching positions. Even if you have not
coached before please reach out to a Age Group coordinator and let them know that you would be available to coach a team.
The club can not exist without coaches - why not give it a try.
E.Bees coaches are required to comply with the Basketball Victoria Code of Conduct for Coaches:
Remember that basketball is for enjoyment
Be reasonable in your demands
Teach understanding and respect for the rules
Give all players a reasonable amount of court time
Develop team respect for the ability of opponents including their coaches
Instill in your players respect for officials and an acceptance of their judgement
Guide your players in their interaction with the media, parents and spectators
Group players according to age, height, skills & physical maturity, whenever possible
Ensure that equipment and facilities meet safety standards and are appropriate to the age and ability of the players
Be prepared to lose sometimes
Act responsibly when players are ill or injured
Impart knowledge & skills and promote desirable personal & social behaviours
Keep your knowledge current

Coaching can be rewarding and frustrating at the same time.
